The increased cholesterol level is the most common problem that is experienced by majority of people nowadays. Lack of Healthy Fat Diet

The cholesterol level is said to be high if your LDL reading is building up. Certain types of fish like trout, salmon, herring and mackerel etc. are very rich source of omega-3 fatty acids. These fatty acids are very good to maintain the appropriate level of LDL cholesterol level while keeping away heart disease, blood pressure and more. So as per the physicians eating omega 3 rich fish twice a week can help greatly to maintain the cholesterol levels of body.

 

Less Use of Dairy Products

If the only source of calcium to your body is the milk carried by your tea or coffee then your health might be at risk of increased cholesterol level as well as reduced calcium level. So it is important to add low fat or fat free dairy products to your diet. As these will help you to increase HDL levels i.e. good cholesterol levels and decrease the LDL levels or cholesterol concentration. You can utilize hard cheese, low fat cheese and yogurt to maintain the calcium level in your body while also keeping your cholesterol at appropriate levels.

 

More Consumption of Packed, Fried and Baked Food

Are you on love with baked food, packaged or fried food? This is another worst eating habit that can cause increased cholesterol levels. In most of the cases all such foods consists of Trans fats that are responsible for increasing bad cholesterol levels. On every packaged product you can look for Trans fats in the nutrition label to know about the amount of Trans fats contained by the food. Most common packaged foods that contain higher levels of Trans fats include cookies, cakes, popcorns, margarine and fried foods. So over consumption of these foods should be avoided.

 

Lack of Soluble Fiber

If you diet is lacking necessary fibers then you might have increased risk to higher cholesterol levels. The various fiber rich foods like whole grains, beans, fruits, oats, veggies and more can help you lower down the LDL level thus keeping your good cholesterol level high. So consume more fibers and stay healthy.
