Different Face Shapes Need Different Kind Of Makeup
As we all know every girl has a unique and specific face shape. And if we talk about makeup then we need to remember that different face shapes need different kind of makeup. And that is why when we try to copy the makeup looks of others, it sometimes ends up looking weird or odd. To avoid this we need to take care of our own face shape while doing makeup.
Here are some makeup tips according to the different face shapes:
1). For Round Shape: In case of round face the length and width are almost equal. The best combination for round face is bronzy look with smoky eyes. While applying makeup we need to create an illusion of length to make face loot like oval shaped. Contouring is important for round faces. To add cut and definition we must use bronzer underneath the cheekbones and highlighter on top of cheekbones. People with round faces should avoid using brighter colours.
2). For Oval Shape: This face shape included wider forehead as compared to the lower face. It can be considered as best face shape, so no heavy contouring is needed. For this face shape it is best to cut down the length of your face. For that purpose we can use bronzy blush across the cheeks. Use of lip liner before lipstick can work even better. Focus can be drawn to either lips or eyes accordingly.
3). For Diamond Shape: In this face shape also the length is more than the width. And the cheekbones are the widest part of the face. For this face shape we need to focus on the centre of the face. To brighten the centre of the face we can use lighter liquid foundation or highlighting powder. It can be applied to forehead, nose and centre of chin. Apply bronzing powder to the underside of cheekbones and tip of the chin. All this will help in getting attention to the centre of the face.
4). For Heart Shape: Heart shape faces included wider forehead and narrow chin. The best thing to do for heart shape face is to draw away the focus from cheekbones and prominent chin. It is good to take brighter blush and red lipstick. As in this case length of forehead is more so we can contour at cheeks and need to highlight area under eyes and chin. And at last need to avoid harsh liners instead use pencil liner or gel.
5). For Oblong Faces: In this type of face shape the width of forehead, cheeks and jawline is almost same and face is longer than it is wider. For this kind of face shape contouring is needed at the lower side of chin. Apply rosy darker blush to the apples of cheeks and this will make your face look wider. Eyebrows must be made little arched from the natural. You can keep lips rosy pink and lighter.
6). For Square Shape: In this type of face shape the sides of the face are straight. And face is as wide as it is long. As this kind of face shape has strong features, so we need to focus more on softening the angular features. To achieve this we can use rounded strokes. Sharpness of jawline can be reduced by contouring the jawbone and blending it upwards. Rosy tones blush can be applied to the apples of the cheeks in a rounded shape. This technique will help in creating a symmetrical shape. It is not favourable for square faces to use harsh or strong eye liner or lip colours. So try using soft sheer lip liner in shades like pink or coral.
These are some useful tips to remember while doing the makeup. So from now onwards keep your face shape in mind before makeup to get the best results out of all.
